About Us

Worship

Good Shepherd's worship is distinctly Lutheran. This means . . .

  • you'll connect. We follow a historic order of service found in most other Christian churches.
  • you'll serve God. Our service is filled with the praise and thanksgiving worthy of our almighty King.
  • you'll be fed. Our worship is Christ-centered. In every service, your faith will be deepened by God's gospel message of Jesus' living, dying, rising, and ruling above--and the difference all this makes in your life.
  • you'll be enriched--by worship symbolism and styles of music that are both traditional and modern.
  • We're a liturgical church. Our order of service follows traditional parts used by the Lutheran Church and the Christian Church for centuries. Church seasons like Advent and Christmas, Lent and Easter, help us follow closely the life of our Savior Jesus.

You'll not stick out if you dress casual or wear your "Sunday best." Our dress is quite varied. We encourage worship to be an event for the whole family, but still offer staffed child-care for younger ones. We won't ask you to introduce yourself in the service, or to do anything that will make you feel uncomfortable. We don't expect non-members to contribute. We will greet you warmly at the door and invite you to stay afterwards for coffee and, every other week, for some refreshments.
